Mr. George P. Shamble

Mr. George P. Shamble, 72, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Please keep the Shamble and Speight families in your prayers. Funeral services will be held 1:00, p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, W. E. Flanagan Memorial Chapel. Viewing one hour prior to the service. George Peterson Shamble was born on January 11, 1950 to the late Louis Shamble and the late Bessie Shamble in Pitt County. He left his earthly home on January 25, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. George attended the Pitt County schools and served in the US Army for a short time before returning home. He joined Arthur Chapel FWB Church at an early age. He was preceded by his parents, one brother – Louis Shamble and one lifelong friend – Robert Robinson. He leave to cherish his memories: a wife – Laura Shamble of Wilson, NC; one sister – Annie Speight of Greenville, NC; one brother – William Speight of New Haven, CT; his adopted family – Larry Speight, Montel (Black) Shamble, Avery Shamble, Thomas Henry Speight, Caleb Speight, Gabriel Speight, Kai’Zeion Edwards, Kai’den Ebron; a special niece, Nekita Shamble Ebron, lifelong friends – Edna Murchison, Willie Battle; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
