Mr. Langston Forbes

" I have fought a good fight I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; henceforth, there is.laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge ,shall give me at that day and not to me only, but unto all them that love His appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7 Mr. Langston Forbes passed away, Tuesday February 15, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Holy Trinity United Holy Church. Viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial in Brownhill Cemetery. Lanqston Caroll Forbes (Lank ) was born on June 10,1942 in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Rev. Ernest T. Forbes and Mrs. Ruby Faison Forbes. Relocating back to Greenville, NC, Langston attended the Greenville City Schools and graduated. After relocating to NC Langston C.M. Eppes High School with the Class of 1966. After graduation, Lanqston met and married the late Christine Barrett. Théy relocated to Irvington, NJ, and attended Miracle Temple in Newark, NJ, the under the tutelage of the late R. W. Schambach. There Langston learned to walk in love, have faith in God and sealed it with a dance. When he came back to Greenville, NC he joined Holy Trinity UHC under the leadership of the late Bishop Ralph E. Love, Sr., and he loved his church. He was an avid worker and also employed at Burroughs Welcome for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Christine Barrett; his parents, the late Rev. and Mrs. Ernest T. Forbes and five brothers: William L. Forbes, James Ernest Forbes, Lt. Col. Jesse R. Forbes, Errol Flynn Forbes, and Calvin Lafayette Forbes. Langston leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Tony Evans and Langston Montrell Daniels; three sisters, Gwendolyn Patricia Forbes Spain, Elder Barbara L. Forbes Dyer, and Elder Ruby Forbes Toodle, all of Greenville, NC; five grandchildren; a special niece, Angela Renee Dyer, who visited him when she could, and host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
