Mr. Moses Peterson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Moses Peterson, 73, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016, W.E. Flanagan Memorial Chapel. Viewing 10:30-11 a.m. at the chapel. The family will receive friends at 302 Nash St., Greenville, N.C. Burial will be in Homestead Memorial Gardens. Mr. Moses Peterson was born to the late Greeley and Edna Peterson on May 4, 1943. At an early age Moses moved to New York, NY where he was educated. He moved to Baltimore Maryland in 1959. Where he met and married Lydia Dowell. From this union five children were born. He was a hard working man and compassionate about the care of his children. Moses was employed at the St. Joseph Paper Plant in Baltimore, MD until his health failed him. He later moved back to Greenville, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Dowell Peterson; daughter,Karen Langsford; Grandson, Raymond Langsford Jr.; three brothers, Greeley, David and Richard Peterson; Three sisters, Elizabeth Hunter, Shirley Bridges and Jean Peterson. Moses leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Andre Peterson of Baltimore,MD. Mandell Peterson (Glenda) of California. Two daughters; Mary Peterson Carter (Latane ) and Rita Peterson of Baltimore, MD.Four sisters,Nora P. Womack of Durham, NC; Edna Peterson of New York, NY; Mary P. Barrett and Catherine Taft of Greenville, NC. Nick, Marvin and Dorothy. Ten grandchildren, and thirty great-grand children and one great-great grand and a special cousin Ronald Smith and God sister Janice Reid. One aunt Virginia Watts. Two brother-In-Laws John Bridges Sr. and Randolph Dixon and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
