Mrs Vera "Dot" Leavy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Vera "Dot" Leavy, (82), passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Viewing for Ms.Vera will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from 2-5pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020, At 1 P.M. at Temple of Zion International Ministries. Due to COVID19, Funeral services will be by invite only. Services will also be live-streamed on the W.E. Flanagan Memorial Facebook page. Vera Was born on January 10, 1938 to the late Herbert L. Harris and Katie Johnson Wilkes. Vera was affectionately known of “ Dot “. She also attended Pitt County School system. Shortly after schooling Dot was employed by Pitt Memorial Hospital as a Nurses Aide for 22 years. Dot was a very tender-hearted and loving person. Everyone she knew, she graciously took them under her wing and cared for them. Dot loved crocheting, puzzles, reading books and most of all helping any and everyone. Vera Leaves to Cherish her loving husband Moses Leavy Jr. of home, three sons James Leavy, Moses Leavy, and Danny Leavy of Greenville N.C. , One adopted son Christopher Leavy of Greenville N.C., Four Janet Leavy Armwood ( Billy Tyson ), Carrie Leavy, Brenda Leavy, and Linda Leavy all of Greenville N.C., two sisters Sherry Harris Baker ( Robert ), Shirley Johnson both of Greenville N.C. She also leaves to cherish 14 grandchildren, 36 great- grandchildren, 31 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
